Subsequently this causes destructive interference which in turn cancels out the noise that you can hear from outside of the earphones. As a result this then means that you can hear to your favorite music without the need for increasing the volume to cancel all other sounds out around you.
However, although earphones noise cancelling technology have the capability of cancelling out a great deal of ambient noise around you they cannot remove them all. For this to be done then the microphone within the earphones noise cancelling system would need to be placed adjacent to the users eardrums and at present this just simply cannot be done.
